Irene E. Lewis

Irene was born in Sinclairville, NY, on April 13, 1934, to Juva and Clarence Knapp. After graduating from Cassadaga Valley High School she married Gerald (Jerry) Lewis. Irene was a bookkeeper, homemaker, and did seasonal agricultural work. She was an avid BINGO player and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant son, Donald, and siblings Esther Knapp, Evelyn Whitcomb, Elvin Knapp, and Clyde Knapp.

She is survived by her three children, Rich Lewis, (Karin), Debbie Warren (Dan), and Donna Moss (Troy). She is also survived by her six grandchildren, Ryan Lewis, Hilary Miller (Brendan), Matt Warren, Kayla Colburn (Bill), Josh Moss (Deb), Jenna Farnsworth (Jeremy) and 10 great-grandchildren, Oliver Miller, Hazel Miller, Conor Colburn, Hailee Colburn, Madelyn Moss, Briella Moss, Trenton Farnsworth, Noah Farnsworth, Bennett Farnsworth, and Oaklynn Farnsworth.

Flowers are gratefully declined, but if desired, memorials may be made in Irene’s name in honor of her friends and loved ones who have faced battles with cancer: Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester,1048 University Ave. Rochester, NY 14607 or the American Cancer Society P.O. Visitation will be at the LARSON-TIMKO Funeral Home, 20 Central Ave., Fredonia, NY on Saturday, June 6, 2026, 10:00 a.m.-12 pm with a service immediately following at noon. Arrangements by David J. Dengler.
