Kurt Hirschman ,64, of Gowanda, NY passed away Friday July 17, 2026 at Hospice Buffalo.
He was born January 19, 1962 the son of the late William Hirschman and Jacqueline (Duke) Knowles who survives and resides in Mayville, NY.
On May 31, 1986 he married the former Cynthia Green who survives.
Mr. Hirschman was the Co owner and operator of H and K Services of Leon, NY.Kurt loved traveling to Florida , spending time on the water , fishing on Lake Placid, Fl. and heavy equipment work.He loved cooking and was an assistant chef at a country club in Cortland, NY in his college days.He loved watching football, hockey, lacrosse and was a big NASCAR racing fan.He built the family campground in Leon, NY where many days were spent with family and friends.
Besides his loving wife of 40 years he is survived by 2 sons Garrett (Brittany) Hirschman of Gowanda, NY and Marcus (Miranda) Hirschman also of Gowanda, NY and a daughter Kathleen Hirschman of Gowanda, NY and 5 grandchildren Jackson, Raegan, Harrison, Hallie and John.
Also surviving are 3 brothers William (Julie) Hirschman, Scot (Kate Stankey) Hirschman of Leon, NY and Brad (Sherry) Hirschman of South Dayton, NY and 2 sisters Carol (Vinny) Majchzcak of Lakewood, NY and Mary (Phil) Hirschman – Smith of Lynchburg, VA and 3 step sisters Lindsey (Barry)Knowles Abrahams , Jody (Mike) Knowles Coulston and Amy Knowles McCall and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Kurt's life will be held on Saturday August 1, 2026 at 11am from the Gowanda Free Methodist Church.
Memorials may be made to the Collins Fire Hall or Cardea Health Integrative in East Aurora NY
