Lois (Yager) Hart, 96, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2026, following a brief illness, surrounded by her loving children.
Born on March 12, 1930, in North Collins, New York, Lois was the daughter of Charlotte and Mahlon Yager. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, and dear friend. Her kindness, generosity, unwavering love for her family, and wonderful sense of humor touched the lives of everyone who knew her.
Lois graduated from Cassadaga Valley Central School in 1948. Following graduation, she worked at the Cassadaga Telephone Company, where life soon led her to meet the love of her life, Ronald Hart. They were married in 1956 and built a life together in Cassadaga, where they lovingly raised their three daughters.
Lois embraced life with enthusiasm and found joy in spending time outdoors. She loved camping, golfing, gardening, and making lasting memories with family and friends. She was an active member of the Home Bureau Stitch & Chatter, the Lily Dale Firemen’s Auxiliary, the Cassadaga Legion, and the Cassadaga Country Club, where she formed many lifelong friendships.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Robin Klepfer of Tonawanda, New York, Gayle (Barry) Wilcox of Cassadaga, New York, and Gwen (Ervin)Wilson of Auburndale, Florida; her son, Larry (Joyce) Dawley of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania; her grandchildren, Brenton (Syrina) Wilcox, Lori (Bryan) Nagaele, Matthew Klepfer, Michael (Melissa) Dawley, Hannah (Christian) Tatu, and Emily Dawley; her great-grandchildren, Madeline Tatu, Jack Tatu, and Bryce Wilcox; and her brother, Edward Yager.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Charlotte and
Mahlon Yager; her beloved husband, Ronald Hart; her son-in-law, Richard Klepfer; her grandson, Bearach Wilcox; and her great-granddaughter, Angelina Dawley.
Lois lived a life rich in love, laughter, friendship, and family. She leaves behind countless treasured memories that will continue to bring comfort to those who knew and loved her. Her gentle spirit, warm smile, and enduring love will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
