WESTFIELD — Patricia Lou Haskin Nellis, 83, of Northeast, PA, and formerly of Westfield, NY, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 26, 2026, at the LECOM Parkside Northeast Assisted Living Center in Northeast, PA. She was born on October 10, 1942, in Westfield, NY, the daughter of the late Warren and Bernice Smith Haskin.

She was a 1961 graduate of Westfield and Academy School. She had worked as an Accounts Payable Clerk for many years at Westfield Memorial Hospital.

Pat was a member of the First Baptist Church of Westfield, where she had been a Deaconess and taught Sunday School for many years. She enjoyed crafting, sewing, walking, playing cards, baking and time with family, especially her grandchildren.

Pat is survived by her two children, Steven (Sherri) Cochran of Corinth, ME, and Karen (Steven) Freeman of Westfield, NY, eight grandchildren, Jacqueline Cochran, Steven Cochran Jr, Andrew (Felicia) Cochran, Hannah (Owen) Cochran, Tyler (Kathryn) Freeman, Leeann (Chris) Epperson, Jordan (Dylan) Freeman, and Brandon (Hannah) Freeman, six great grandchildren, Meredith, Genevieve, Evelynn, Nora, Gwendolyn and Oliver, three siblings, Phyllis Genthner, Judy (Dave) Hoffman, and Howard (Gwen) Haskin, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Nellis, and five siblings, Larry Haskin, Virginia Riedesel, Donna Carter, Onalea Baker and Martha Sherman.

A memorial service will be held at 11am on Friday, July 17, 2026, at the First Baptist Church of Westfield (19 Union St). The family will receive friends for visitation for one hour prior to the service (10am – 11am), also at the church. Pastor Matt Wolfe will officiate. The family will be attending a graveside ceremony in the Westfield Cemetery from 12-12:30pm, others who wish to attend are welcome. There will be a luncheon at the Church at 12:30 for all who would like to attend.
