Arlene M. Zanghi, 91, of Brocton, NY died Monday morning August 10, 2026, at Heritage Green Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born in Portville, NY September 15, 1934 to her late parents LaRue and Edna (Hornblower) Stout. Arlene previously resided at 88 Central Avenue in Brocton, NY.
Arlene worked at the old Chautauqua County Home for 15 years. She was a member of the St. Dominic's RC Church (the former St. Patrick's Church of Brocton).
Arlene loved playing cards, bingo, cooking for family, friends and the priest at St. Dominic's, and going to the casino with her beloved Husband John, they did everything together. They loved socializing with family and friends at the old Brocton Diner, going for rides and sporting events that their grandchildren and great-grandchildren participated in.
Survivors include her son, Michael Zanghi, two daughters; Debra (Daniel) Schrantz, Karen Morse (John Garverick), cherished grandchildren; Denise (John) Berry, Dale Schrantz, Krista (Howard) Gutzman, and Matthew (Emily) Morse, great-grandchildren; Kyle Schrantz, Jeydin Schrantz, Tanner Schrantz, Mikala Zanghi, Aiden Zanghi, Hayden Gutzman, Georgia Gutzman and great-great- granddaughter, Bless Everlee Schrantz along with many loving nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 72 years, John Zanghi. and a grandson, Brian Zanghi.
Funeral services are being cared for and provided by the Morse Funeral Home of Brocton, NY.
Per the request of the family, a graveside service for Arlene and John will be held September 19, 2026 at 11AM in the Portland Evergreen Cemetery , Memorial contributions in honor of Arlene can be made to the Brocton Fire Department First Aid Squad, 80 Lake Ave, Brocton, NY 14716.
