George A Taylor Jr.

George A Taylor Jr. of Chandler, AZ, formerly

of 14 Prospect St. Forestville,NY, died on July 7, 2026. George was the son of the late Virginia Englert Taylor and George A Taylor Sr. He was born in Corry, PA on February 19th, 1943.

He graduated from Corry High School in 1961.

While in high school, George was on the track team. He studied at Edinboro University, and graduated with a degree in education from Fredonia University.

He taught school in Forestville for a few years, but most of his career was spent as Produce Manager at Quality Markets, later becoming Tops Market. He met many friends and acquain tances in his years at both stores and could tell many colorful tales.

George was a member of Saint Rose Catholic

Church and earlier a member of Saint Joseph's Catholic Church in Fredonia, NY where he spent

several years serving on church council.

He also was a Village Trustee in Forestville.

George had an RV in several parks over the years, he loved being at his RV, it was a great passion of his. He loved his home and being out doors and grew many beautiful flowers.

He was an avid Buffalo Bills fan, having had season tickets for many years.

George is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Eloisa Taylor, step grand sons, Marc and Aaron Burgueno, and a step great grand son, Forrest. He is also survived by his sister, Eileen Nossal and several cousins.

Funeral services for George will be on August 28th at 11 AM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 165 Central Ave, Silver Creek, NY, with Father Dan Fiebelkorn officiating.

Family members will be present from 10 AM to 11 AM, with mass at 11 AM.
