George Michael Borrello, 68, of Silver Creek, New York, passed away peacefully after a brief illness, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born on March 4, 1958, in Silver Creek, George was the son of the late Dominic and Antoinette Borrello. A lifelong resident of Silver Creek and a proud graduate of Silver Creek High School, George went on to attend Arizona State University before earning his Bachelor's Degree in Business Communication and Marketing from SUNY Fredonia.
For 44 wonderful years, George shared a loving marriage with his wife and best friend, Susan Borrello. Together they built a life centered on family, fun, and laughter.
George was preceded in death by his parents, Dominic and Antoinette Borrello, and his brother, Anthony Borrello. Anthony's wife, Jane Borrello, survives.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Susan (Tampio) Borrello; his sister, Nelane Borrello; his children, Michael (Anne Maylayny) Borrello, Lindsay (Jason) O'Connor, and Dominick (Sarah Rich) Borrello; and his seven beloved grandchildren, Ryan, Matthew, and Olivia Borrello, Mason and Michaela O'Connor, and Giovanni and Santino Borrello, who provided endless joy and were the light of his life.
George was an avid golfer and cherished the friendships he made over the years as a member of Shorewood Country Club and Tri-County Country Club. Whether he was enjoying a round of golf, watching a beautiful sunset, or spending time with the people he loved most, George appreciated life's simple blessings.
A highly respected local businessman, George had the privilege of working alongside his family each day. He was known for his kindness, strength, generous heart, and infectious smile and laughter, which inspired all. Family meant everything to George, and he devoted his life to providing for them, supporting them, and creating countless memories that will live on forever.
George's greatest legacy is the love he gave so freely. His friends and family were his pride and joy, and his presence made every holiday, family gathering, and ordinary day feel special. Though his passing leaves an immeasurable void, his example of love, hard work, loyalty, and devotion will continue to guide all who knew him.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 12th at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel at 165 Central Ave., Silver Creek, NY 14136. A luncheon will follow at Shorewood Country Club, 4958 West Lake Rd, Dunkirk, NY, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
