Christopher Marrocco, 61, of Collins, passed away Saturday, September 5, 2026 at ECMC in Buffalo, NY.
He was born June 28, 1965 in Lackawanna, NY the son of the late Theodore and Margaret (Nowak) Marrocco.
Mr. Marrocco was a 1984 graduate of Lackawanna High School, and was a proud member of the United States Marine Corps. from 1985-1991 as a hydraulic mechanic on F/A-18’s. He received the Meritorious Unit Commendation, Sharpshooter Rifle Badge, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon and the Good Conduct Medal.
He retired in 2018 as Sergeant with the NYSDOC at the Gowanda Correctional Facility after 26 years of service.
He was a member of the Evans Rod and Gun Club, an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.
He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years Tina Marrocco, his two sons Nicholas (Kimberly) Marrocco of Barboursville, VA and Daniel Marrocco of Collins, NY and a grandson Nathan. Also surviving are 2 brothers Scott Marrocco of Batavia, NY and Dino (Mary) Marrocco of Lackawanna, NY and many nephews and cousins.
Friends may call at the Mentley Funeral Home Inc. 105 East Main Street in Gowanda, NY on Wednesday September 9, 2026 from 2-4 and 6-8pm.
