Norman Thomas Bielaszka

Norman Thomas Bielaszka passed away peacefully on August 31, 2026.

Born in Dunkirk, NY on August 14, 1933, he served the city as a Lieutenant for the police department. Going on to work at Niagara Mohawk, while dedicating his service in the Army National Guard as a Tank Commander.

Norm enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf and wood working. And was most proud of building a home in Dunkirk with his own two hands. Eventually retiring to Chandler, Arizona with his devoted wife, Barbara, of 48 years. He remained active golfing, riding his e bike and playing Bocce Ball.

Survived by his wife, Barbara (Gotowka) Bielaszka; sons, Robert Thomas Bielaszka and Thomas Norman Bielaszka; daughter, Mary (Ed) Bielaszka Green; stepdaughter, Jennifer King (Linda Pencek); nine grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and six great great grandchildren. Gone on before him, were his parents, Thomas Norman and Anna (Dudek) Bielaszka; sisters, Eleanor Bak, Bernice Schrantz, Florence Frankiewicz and Sally Boucher; Eldest daughter, Barbara Bielaszka DeGolier and great-granddaughters, Cora Grace Pollino and Paige Pollino.
