Ryan J. Evans, born on July 2, 1982, passed away on September 12, 2026, in Chautauqua, New York, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, devotion, and kindness that will be remembered by all who knew him.
Ryan was a proud graduate of Brocton High School and carried the values he learned there throughout his life. He answered the call to serve his country in the United States Army, an experience that reflected his sense of duty, discipline, and commitment. Following his military service, he worked as an independent contractor, where he earned a reputation for being dependable, resourceful, and skilled at whatever task was placed before him. Those who knew Ryan often said he could fix anything, and that gift became one of the many ways he helped family, friends, and neighbors over the years.
Ryan was a man who found joy in the simple and meaningful things in life. He loved the Buffalo Bills and followed them with the loyalty and enthusiasm of a true fan. He also enjoyed music festivals, where he could take in the energy of live performances and the company of others. Landscaping was another of his interests, and he took pride in creating and improving the spaces around him. Whether he was working with his hands or enjoying time with loved ones, Ryan brought a steady presence and a genuine spirit to every part of his life.
He is survived by the love of his life, Candice Polvino; his daughter, Addison Evans; his brother, Jason Evans; his stepdaughters, Abrianna and Aleya; and his nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and many friends who will miss him deeply. Ryan was preceded in death by his parents, John Evans and Cathy Evans. The love and guidance of his family remained an important part of his life, and he carried their influence with him always.
Ryan will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his willingness to help others, and the warmth he shared with those around him. He had a practical nature, a generous heart, and a way of making people feel supported and valued. His presence brought comfort and strength to many, and his memory will continue to live on in the lives he touched. Ryan had the biggest smile and the most contagious laugh and lit up any room he walked in.
Though his time on earth ended far too soon, Ryan J. Evans leaves behind a lasting impression of loyalty, resilience, and love. His family and friends will cherish the memories they shared with him and hold close the many moments that reflected who he was. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered with love and respect.
