William E. "Bill" Blizzard, 90, of Cassadaga, passed away Sept. 17, 2026.
He was a 1954 graduate of Cassadaga Valley Central School and attended Fredonia State College.
Bill served in the United States Navy from 1955-1959 as a musician in the Navy Band.
He was employed at Ring Punch and Die from 1961-1999 retiring as stockroom supervisor.
Bill was a Life Member of the Cassadaga Volunteer Fire Department and had served as Captain for the EMT Squad, served as a Trustee on the Cassadaga Village Board and was a member of Cassadaga Baptist Church, Cassadaga Lakes Assn. and was an avid golfer who played in the Thursday night men's league at Cassadaga Country Club.
He and his wife enjoyed spending winters at their home in The Villages, FL for 14 years.
Bill will forever be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and good friend.
Husband of Terry Ann Straight Blizzard; father of Curt (Lisa) Blizzard and Bradley (Diane) Blizzard; grandfather of, Kelsie (Joseph) Brownell, Sydney (Daniel) Bailey, Connor (Dana) Blizzard, Spencer Blizzard, Brian (Catherine) Blizzard and Jarrett (Hannah) Blizzard; great-grandfather of, Emmett and Oliver Brownell, Luna and Iris Bailey, Charlotte and Sally Blizzard, Jack and Luke Blizzard; brother of the late Janet Fredrickson; Brother-in -law of Sharon (Diane Kaznowski) House; son-in-law of the late Hugh and Jeannette Straight.
A graveside service will be held Monday, November 2, 2026 at Cassadaga Cemetery at 11 am., with a celebration of life to follow at the Cassadaga Memorial American Legion 1280, 228 Maple Ave., Cassadaga.
