Born on July 11, 1951, in Jamestown, New York, he lived a life marked by hard work, devotion to family, and a warm presence that will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Tinker was the son of the late Lawrence and Virginia (Shreve) Alexander. He was also predeceased by his beloved son, Shane Alexander, and by his siblings Mike, Rusty, Ronald, Charlotte, Patricia, and Jerry. He is survived by his companion of 25 years, Mary L. Test, who shared many cherished years by his side. He also leaves behind his children, Lawrence A. Alexander Jr. and his companion, Season, Matthew Alexander, and Marine Alexander Presto, his stepson, Ray (Rachel) Test Jr.(Rachel) along with Eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren who brought him great pride and joy.

He is further survived by his brother, Dennis Alexander and his wife, Vikki, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins who will remember him with love and gratitude. Family was always central to Tinker's life, and he treasured the time he spent with those closest to him. His steady presence, sense of humor, and genuine care for others made him a valued part of his family circle and community.

Tinker made his living as a self-employed contractor in Brocton, New York, where he was known for his strong work ethic, practical skills, and ability to take on just about any project. He took pride in his work and was respected for his reliability and determination. Whether he was helping someone with a job or working on something of his own, he approached each task with the same hands-on spirit that defined so much of his life.

Outside of work, Tinker enjoyed fishing, hunting, and horses, and he was always tinkering with all types of projects. He had a natural curiosity and a talent for fixing, building, and improving things, which earned him his nickname and reflected the way he lived his life. He especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and those moments of companionship and laughter were among his most treasured.

A celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
