It is far from normal right now when it comes to our lifestyles with concerns and controversy surrounding COVID-19. What is nice to see, however, is a return of the Festival of Grapes in Silver Creek.

This event, which was at first canceled, was on again after an announcement by the committee in June. Plenty of activities are planned including the popular grape stomping at 6 p.m. on opening night. The Arts and Crafts show will take place in the Village Square during the festival. The craft show will be open on Friday from noon to 7 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Lots of music will be heard as well, especially on Saturday when the Rustic Ramblers and Formula Band offer country then classic rock favorites.

Grapes are vital to this county’s economy. It’s always good to see Silver Creek go purple for the celebration.
