Forgetting why they came here

When our forefathers came to this country, they were willing to work hard to raise their families, pay their bills and be productive in our society.

First they had to go through Ellis Island for interviews and medical exams. If they were lucky, they passed all the requirements to enter this country. Once they were eligible, they had to find employment and a place to live for their families.

Nothing came easy for the new citizens of the United States. There were no free hand-outs, no free health plan, no free groceries, no free transportation, no free anything. They survived on their own will to survive in this country.

Why? Because they wanted to live in a free society. They came here and obeyed our laws. They did not bring with them the rules of the country that they left because they were in a new country where everyone is supposed to be created equal.

In those days, when someone criticized this country, they were the first ones to be intolerant of those views. They appreciated this country and what it stands for. Now we have people coming into this country with their own views and ideas of how this country should abide by their past countries’ ideas and rules.

They seem to forget where they are. They come here with an attitude problem. When these people are interviewed in the streets by the media, they are not afraid to be critical of living here and critical of our laws. They seem to believe that those who have lived here all of their lives should give in to their beliefs.

My answer to those and their stupid ideas: if you don’t like it here, get out and go back where you came from. Our government has tolerated this mess way too long. Especially in California, where our tax money goes out to those cities that protect illegals. They are called sanctuary cities.

Why does our government allow this to happen and why is our tax money being used for those cities? This in itself is disgraceful and undermines what this country stands for. If you’re not a citizen of this country, get out now.
