Scales of discipline are not equal

A recent article in the OBSERVER was headlined “Jamestown Public School teacher charged in classroom incident seeking compensation.” It was in reference to an unruly juvenile who, according to the article, was very disruptive in the classroom.

Not only disruptive, but disrespectful to the teacher, according to the article. The juvenile was very uncontrollable. The teacher had to try and control this out-of-control juvenile by any means at his disposal. When trying to do so, the juvenile used profanities and fought with the teacher.

This type of behavior has been going on in our classrooms ever since the liberal politicians became involved with “politically correctness,” and we all know what political party started this insanity.

There is no reason why this occurrence should have happened. What kind of lifestyle did this juvenile have at his home? What kind of parents brought up this kid who has no respect for anyone, especially those teachers in the classroom?

I’m very concerned for teachers who have to put up with this kind of behavior from those students who have no regard for others. There is no reason why those teachers have to tolerate this type of behavior.

According to the article, this same teacher was arrested and the parents of this uncontrollable juvenile were upset over the teacher’s behavior. My advice to the parents of this juvenile is: if you had brought up your child the right way to show respect for others, this incident would never have happened. The parents should go to class on how to bring up kids.

Now the teacher has to go to anger management class for something that was out of his control. This way of teaching in the classroom and teachers having to be careful on a daily basis has to be corrected. There is no way a teacher has to tolerate this type of behavior from any student. The kid should have been sent to juvenile authorities.

This is not the way a teacher should be treated. Parents should be notified that if their kids act up in class, there are consequences for that child.
