Athenex builders have high praise for Dunkirk

On behalf of the Athenex Construction Team, I’d like to take this opportunity to thank the residents of Dunkirk for your support and hospitality over the last 18-plus months. We moved to the area to construct the Athenex project and quickly found a community that was very welcoming and supportive of our team and efforts building a world class facility in your community.

Mayor Wilfred Rosas and his team led the charge, attending multiple events on-site, including the structural steel topping-out and several site safety lunches. He’s been a huge supporter of both Athenex and the Exyte-Pike team and we appreciate all he’s done to ensure the project is successful.

Unfortunately, as with all projects, we are now coming to an end. Over the next eight to 12 weeks the majority of our team will be moving on and we’re looking forward to Athenex occupying the building in early February, 2020.

Looking back, I’m proud to say I was a resident of Dunkirk, seeing firsthand the progress and opportunities this great area has to offer for Western New York. I’m also proud of the contributions our team has made to the community and I hope our tenure in your community will be viewed favorably in the years to come.

Thank you all! It’s been a pleasure living and working in your community and we wish you all the best this Christmas season and in the years to come.

Lee Ogle is project director for Exyte U.S.
