‘Horrific statement’ is not accurate
Editor, OBSERVER:
A recent letter published by the OBSERVER (Oct. 31) was truly scary. But even more scary was the newspaper’s decision to print it. I’ll focus on the worst line in it: “A baby born full term can be aborted if the mother wishes. The doctor has a right to make a death wish for this child who is unable to save itself.”
How could the newspaper allow this delusion to be disseminated? The statement is beyond false — it was an evil attempt to manipulate uneducated or cult-following voters with lies just days before the election.
At the very least, that easily discounted and horrific statement should have been edited out.
