Focusing on the village priorities: Trustees cannot overlook water losses

There’s been a lot of talk regarding the North County Water District lately.

I think some questions should be answered before any further consideration takes place in the village. Who on the board has a personal, monetary or any other vested interest in this project? I ask because if it’s true, the village has a 50% water loss rate due to leaks at the present time.

Anyone who advocates pushing water through the old decrepid lines with the district without major new water infrastructure first, should be removed from office. The cost to taxpayers that would now have to pay for the millions of gallons of water lost a year would be unsustainable.

The blatant arrogance of so many of the Village Board members shouldn’t surprise anyone.

We apparently live in an age where a guy selling hot dogs is more of a threat than dirty water in our homes. How is it possible that anyone with a brain would understand the infrastructure has to come first, but some elected officials seem to have left theirs at the door or in their wallet.

What sense does it make to join district at this time?

Besides, why should we believe any of the “experts?” They lied about the effects the windmills have on animals and surrounding nature that send more deer than usual into the village, resulting in the village possibly hiring the “deer doctor.” You’re going to pay some self proclaimed “doctor” to tell people how to use liquid fence or other natural remedies to get rid of the deer?

Google! Everyone has it. No need to pay someone to tell us.

By the way, the windmills do in fact make an unreasonable amount of noise. Many electric bills have doubled. But hey, why not destroy the forest and wetlands around the reservoir for a useless solar farm too.

Ideas this idiotic can only mean someone’s making money. It’s time we as people use our own heads.

It’s common sense. Why pay for something when you’re just going to lose 50% of it?
