I know how this poem ends.

The Trump administration is saying “There are only two sexes, male and female.” To ensure that young people do not try to change their gender while they are developing, the administration is threatening to withhold Medicare and Medicaid money to any hospital that provides that care to minors.

This ensures that even in states where it’s legal gender affirming care for adolescents can’t happen in a hospital. If a boy wanted to have surplus breast tissue removed to look more like a boy, that would be ok, but a girl who wants to be a boy can’t have the same procedure.

The idea that there are just two sexes is not true. In reality there are Intersex people. They are born with any of several sex characteristics including chromosome patterns, gonads, or genitals that, according to the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, “do not fit typical binary notions of male or female bodies”.

These intersex people do exist. In addition to biological intersex people there are people who feel themselves to be a different gender than the genitals they were born with. These people ask nothing more than to be allowed to live their most authentic lives.

To say there are only two sexes is not true. Repeating a lie is a Fascist thing to do. It is also Fascist to talk about getting rid of the “degenerate” people by subjecting them to “Re-education” or even concentration camps.

Transexual people deserve to live like anyone else. Gender affirming care is proven to diminish suicide risk among transgendered youth. “Conversion Therapy” in comparison has increased suicide and self harm among LBGTQ youth.

How does one person’s gender identity harm anyone else?

The “Harm” the conservatives are claiming is to their ideals of manhood and womanhood. They want to return to a world in which women can’t vote or compete with men for jobs or an education.

Trump has put forward a voter registration plan that requires the voting name to match their birth certificate. This will be a problem for 68 million women who took their husband’s name when they got married. All of these women would have to go to the county clerk’s office and present their paperwork individually. Millions of women will be unable to vote.

Sixty years ago there were no black newscasters and no women newscasters. Today it’s common to see all races as newscasters. Some white men have a theory that the Jews have replaced them with women and minorities. These white men want to put women and minorities back in their “place”.

Personally I do not want to return to the world that white men ruled. Things are much more comfortable now when anyone can study and choose the profession that they want.

Trump would like to make America white again. The demographics are against this. It is predicted that by 2045 the white people will be a minority in the USA.

Nevertheless, Trump continues with his war on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion as though by making things less fair he will bring back the days of White Supremacy.

Trump has often spoken of his superior genes. He is part of the small group of Tech billionaires who feel that they are meant to run everything and everyone else should be their servants. Trump does not want to regulate AI. He is trying to keep states from enacting their own regulations of AI. We need to talk about privacy and protecting people’s data. Why are the Tech bro’s so intent on not being regulated? This discussion is not happening because the Tech bro’s like Musk and Bezos don’t want it to.

We know that AI is going to change the world of work. It is projected to replace entry level positions in many professions. When employers no longer need these people will they still hire them?

Artificial Intelligence is a powerful tool that could be very bad for the human race. It is trained on all the data humans have collected for millennia. This means all the good things but also all the bad. The US really did try to kill all the people who were here first.

It is happening again in Gaza. Children in Gaza will suffer life long health effects from the starvation they have experienced. It’s winter there now. The Israelis have made 2 million people homeless. They need tents, tarps and blankets. People are dying of hypothermia. There is no way to get warm. The Israelis are not allowing enough supplies in so the dying continues. Their goal is to dissolve the Palestinian population. They are doing it with our money and weapons. Ultimately the U.S. taxpayer is funding the genocide.
