There’s two sides when it comes to election

By Stacy Curry 3 min read

Am I the only person in Chautauqua County disgusted with the nonstop lying from our elected representatives? I listened to Nick Langworthy, during his debate with Aaron Gies, repeat the name of Kathy Hochul, and Albany Democrats ad nauseam.

Gies is running for a seat in Congress. It appears Langworthy is running for governor of New York. The constant deflection, by our congressional representative to imply every failed policy the federal government has enacted, and Langworthy supported, is somehow the fault of Hochul and Albany Democrats is not only a lie, it is the continuation of insulting the people he represents.

We get the same exact nonsense, from state Sen. George Borrello and Assemblyman Andrew Molitor. Molitor, it seems, doesn't even understand how our tax system works.

After all they're not leaders, they're followers. Their only purpose is to demean the other side, and do the best they can to keep Democrats from governing, and providing service to those they represent.

One thing we can count on, is these deceitful Republicans taking credit, for the benefits, provided, by Hochul and Albany Democrats. They show up for every photo opportunity to tout the grant, the opening, the benefit, for which they voted against.

These guys think we're stupid. They think we don't understand why our health insurance premiums have increased; why we can't afford to buy both gas and groceries; why our electric bills have increased; why we no longer have safe food to eat, or clean water to drink; why the local hospital closed; why we can't afford to pay the rent, or buy a house; why, after having eradicated measles in the United States, we now have a measles outbreak in this country; or understand who is stealing our tax dollars.

We do understand the result of our quality of life in Chautauqua County has been diminished, because of the policies of this MAGA administration, the policies of the federal government, The Big Ugly Bill, The War With Iran, the tariffs, and the refusal to administer congressional appropriated funds, then using those funds to line the pockets of wealthy donors, and family members.

If you are tired of being insulted, then when you look at your ballot, if there's a name other than that corrupt Republican who you've sent to office previously, then vote for the other person. Vote for the person who will represent all of us.
