Village needs some balance
Editor, OBSERVER:
As an American citizen, a local resident and current chairwoman of the Fredonia-Pomfret Republican Committee, it’s my experience that effective local government is comprised of knowledgeable folks from both political parties, who have an overriding desire to accomplish what needs to be done to make our village a great place to work, live, play and raise a family.
We need a Village Board that puts partisan politics and personal hubris aside and puts a focus on infrastructure, growing our tax base and attracting both small and large businesses to our area.
The current board is comprised of all Democrats. There has been little transparency with regards to when open board positions were going to be filled; thus allowing the remaining trustees to “pack” this board with one single party.
The Fredonia Village Board is in need of balance and focus. If you are a registered Republican residing within the village limits, and you feel it’s time for a change and positivity on our village board, I urge you to reach out to me at (716) 672-8822, and plan on attending our caucus on Saturday, June 26, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Fredonia Grange 1, 58 W. Main St.
