People’s column: Donations, group add to local fabric
Editor, OBSERVER:
A big thank you to the people who donated yarn to the Thursday Knitting Group that meets at St. Joseph’s Church in Fredonia.
This past year more than 700 items were hand knit and crocheted, including hats, scarves, mittens, baby items and afghans, etc. These items were donated locally to the Salvation Army, Hospice, the Lion’s Club, St. Gianna Pregnancy Outreach Center, Chautauqua Nursing and Rehab Services, UPMC Jamestown Hospital and other groups.
