Two men who served Dunkirk much of their lives have been memorialized by the common council. The new public works garage on Lucas Avenue will be known as the “Anthony LoGuidice Public Works Building” in honor of the city engineer who died last July. The new Little League baseball field at Wright Park will be known as the “Samuel Moreeno Little League Stadium” in honor of the man who served the city as councilman-at-large for 10 years. Moreeno died in April 1970.
