Thirty years ago — 1992

Sarah Dudzic, a Class of 1992 political science major at Union College, will study in Austria this spring under the college’s Term Abroad Program. A 1988 graduate of Fredonia High School, Miss Dudzic resides in Fredonia.

Forty years ago — 1982

Vicki Patterson, a senior at Dunkirk High School, recently received her cap for devoting more than 200 hours of her time to duty as a junior volunteer at Brooks Hospital. The daughter of Bruce R. Patterson and Mrs. James Webster, Vicki plans to pursue a career in nursing and has been accepted at Brockport State University College.

Fifty years ago — 1972

Consumer Advocate Ralph Nader has supplied the inspiration for a student movement across the country known as the Public Interest Research Group (PIRG). A Western New York chapter is in the formative stage and a speaker was on the Fredonia State University Campus attempting to spark interest here.
