Howard Bremer, owner/operator of Central Paint and his daughter Jillian are pictured cutting the ribbon at their recent Grand Opening celebration. Forty years ago — 1982

Two young local bowlers got the chance to test their talents against the pros recently when they participated in the Pro-Am Junior Bowlers Tour. They are Robert Patterson of Silver Creek and Jeffrey Borowski of Irving.

The Silver Creek office of the Iroquois Gas Corporation, located at 35 Main St. in the village, will cease operations beginning July 31.
