Thirty years ago — 1993

Copy Boy Instant Printing recently held ribbon-cutting ceremonies to celebrate the opening of its new permanent location in Dunkirk at 13 West Third St. Fredonia Copy Boy, 70Water St., joined the Dunkirk store for Grand Opening Week. A 19-inch color television was given away to drawing winner Frank Lisa Sr. Opened on Central Avenue in Dunkirk in 1975, Copy Boy has offered high-quality printing and copying services to the public for nearly two decades.

Forty years ago — 1983

Thomas M. Huber, a former Fredonia resident and the son of Mrs. Marion Huber, formerly of Fredonia, has been promoted to Midwest advertising sale manager for MONEY Magazine. Prior to his joining MONEY in Los Angeles, Mr. Huber was on the sales staff of Time Magazine in Los Angeles and in New York City, where he joined the firm in 1976. In the summer of his junior year at Kent State, he was employed in the advertising sales department of the OBSERVER.

Fifty years ago — 1973

The Patterson Library Members’ Gallery in Westfield has added artwork by Robert Harrington of Dunkirk and Charles Fryer of Fredonia to its collection, to be available for rental loan or purchase.
