Westfield resident Connie Thayer presented her plan for a village taxi service to the Westfield Village Board. She noted that it was difficult for persons in wheelchairs to move around the village. She also felt she could transport wheelchair-bound people for less money than was currently being charged by other transport operations in the county. A wheelchair van would cost $12.50 to anywhere in the village. The taxi would have a charge of $3.50. The proposal was turned over to the board for further research.
