Gowanda: Plenty Happening in the village
A theater, lots of entertainment and plenty of motorcycles will highlight Friday through Sunday in the village of Gowanda.
The annual Hollywood Happening begins on Friday evening with a motorcycle parade from the Gowanda Harley Davidson to downtown with opening ceremonies for the event starting at 7:30 p.m. Giveaways and musical entertainment, including Dive House Union, Turbulance, BarKing Spiders, Chris Maloney, Everett Lee and the Underground Stampede and Wanted, the Bon Jovi Tribute Band also is planned.
Besides the bikes, however, the big star is the village and the Hollywood Theater. “If you have never been to the Happening before, we want to encourage you, your friends and family to pick a day to come out and enjoy the festival,” said Hollywood Theater President Mark Burr. “We literally shut down Main Street so you can check out thousands of bikes, visit our shops … enjoy the sales, take a tour of the theater and see all that Gowanda and the Happening has to offer.”
