Art show: Taking works to community
Color us impressed.
That was the reaction of many, including the students, at the recent Dunkirk High School art showcase that was held at Shorewood Country Club last week. The event, which lasted about three hours, brought more than 200 people out to see works created and painted by a number of students, including seniors.
It was the second year the show was held at the club, which brings a greater community than just family members and parents.
More schools in our area need to consider community art shows. We support our athletes and our bands in our districts. We can certainly support our arts as well.
