Fredonia: Pitching in to better village
There were a bunch of helping hands in the village of Fredonia during the day on Sunday. From Barker Common to the grassy area on Prospect Street, volunteers gathered to pick up the trash and litter that had gathered in many areas of the municipality.
It was an impressive showing, considering the damp weather.
Besides a number of residents, students from the State University of New York and the Delta Phi Epsilon Sorority showed up to help.
Their efforts deserve praise — and the village looks much better for it.
