Fredonia: School board’s solid choice
There was reason to be upbeat for the Fredonia Board of Education on Tuesday evening. Four applicants, all with solid backgrounds, were in the running for the recently resigned seat of Daniel Ihasz.
In the end the board chose Lisa Powell Fortna, an excellent candidate. Just as reassuring was the interest level from the other three who applied. Each one brought their own set of knowledge and accomplishments.
Now, the board must move forward. There’s plenty of work — and relationships — that need to be built from here.
