Fredonia: Site cleanup is welcome
A longtime eyesore of the village of Fredonia has gone through a major improvement.
For years, the Department of Public Works location off Eagle Street had the resemblance of a dump, instead of a working headquarters. But in recent weeks, plenty of cleanup has taken place.
The largest difference: the village DPW looks to have some pride in how it is maintaining its lot. That is a credit to the staff there as well as the new supervisor Tony Gugino.
Fredonia prides itself on high standards. That being said, village government must be a part of that example. In this case, it is.
