Many players are responsible

There were a lot of glum faces on Sunday in our area — and with good reason. Our beloved Buffalo Bills have reverted back to old habits of losing and looking downright dazed.

Baltimore thumped the Bills, which led to a familiar refrain — even from our sports department’s Braden Carmen — to change quarterbacks. For the record, Nathan Peterman was not on the field in the Ravens’ first drive, when they easily converted a second down and 26. He was not on the field for a long punt return or did he drop a punt snap. In addition, he was not flagged for any offensive holding penalties.

Simply put, one player is not responsible for the debacle that was Sunday. Josh Allen, who looked very ordinary against Cincinnati, may have looked better against the Ravens, but he was playing with no pressure already down by 40 points.

So is it really all about the quarterback? Maybe current Cleveland Brown Tyrod Taylor was not so bad after all.
