Old building not just fine

Have you noticed all the black and white televisions people are watching around our region nowadays? How about the rotary phones that remain popular in northern Chautauqua County?

We definitely do not see these devices because in our personal lives we want the best — HD televisions and smart phones. But when it comes to the possibility of a new hospital the first response by many is that current old building is the best option for our future.

Are you kidding?

Pomfret recently put forth a law that could be the impetus of a new state-of-the art Brooks hospital off Route 20. It is a facility that has the potential to be built with the 21st century in mind. While many here believe the current location is just fine, if you are from outside the area, you are not enamored with the outdated structure.

New doctors, which we need to be recruited to our area, want what we have in our personal lives: the newest and most up to date option. That building on Central Avenue does not fit that criteria.

Starting at $3.50/week.
