One more round for the leaves
It is an unusual sight: seeing an area Department of Public Works crew out doing leaf pick-up in early January. But with no snow on the ground, it is a perfect time notes Fredonia DPW chief Tony Gugino.
“With the weather, we’re taking advantage of it,” Gugino told the OBSERVER’s M.J. Stafford after some of his department’s dump trucks were seen rumbling through the village earlier in the morning. Not only is the pick-up a good idea, it also shows plenty of goodwill toward residents.
As for the weather, we’re happy the department is dealing with leaves — and not the alternative.
