Hopes not yet out in cold
In last November, many were toasting the 10-game run of the Buffalo Sabres. Today, though only points out of a playoff spot, the team looks like toast.
Since that magical run, the team only has 25 points and it’s getting desperate. A seven-game homestand that ends this week has been anything but fruitful. In fact, if the team loses tonight it will be struggling to be at .500 while playing this set of games at KeyBank Center.
So while the recent slump is disappointing, there is reason for hope. The team is much better this year — and exactly where we hoped they would be at this time before the season started.
