HOCKEY: Appreciation for the end
You may have lost interest like everyone else, but tonight is the final home game for the Buffalo Sabres. Almost fittingly, they face off against another team facing a number of trials and tribulations in the Ottawa Senators.
Take away the month of November, and there is nothing to cherish from this year’s group. At one time around Thanksgiving, the Sabres led the league in points. Today, they are closer to the bottom of the league standings.
Traditionally, the finale at KeyBank Center is Fan Appreciation Day. We can all appreciate an end to another disappointing season — and hope for a better 2019-20 campaign.
