DUNKIRK: Event becoming summer tradition

Act One may be complete, but there is still time to take in what is becoming a popular annual event.

On the Dunkirk Lighthouse grounds, the third Shakespeare on the Lake will be around for four more shows. Last week, “Hamlet” was the featured attraction while “The Two Gentlemen of Verona” will be showing starting Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.

Also assisting in the summer event is the incubator. “To really engage this community of Dunkirk and Chautauqua County in something that they might not have had access to in the past; to really feel the pride in our community and how beautiful it is and the amazing gifts that we can give,” said intern Jules Holynski, who designed the event logo. “This is our gift back to the community.”

Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for students with ID (at the door) and $5 for children 12 and younger and are available at https://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/4280158. They can also be purchased at the door.
