Reflective signs make a difference
The OBSERVER's view
It seems as though it would be a no-brainer, but it does send a reminder especially when outside the limits of a village or a city.
Started in the early 2000s, reflective signs help not only motorists but emergency responders find homes in the dark of night. The Brocton and Portland fire departments are offering this service to all residents of their districts.
Sign applications can be purchased for $15 at the Brocton village offices or the Portland town offices.
Even in the age of the GPS, the signs make a difference.
