There seems to be plenty of consensus regarding the sharing of a full-time code enforcement officer between the village of Brocton and town of Portland. Earlier this month, Village Board members were enthusiastic about the proposal.
“I’m in favor of doing that,” said Bryan Woleben.
“I’m 100% for it,” said Carol Horlacher.
Most often, these plans appear to be a no-brainer. But turf battles of the past between municipalities, which continue today, have brought poor and dooming decisions for residents from leadership.
It does not appear that will be the case this time.
