On this Labor Day, not everyone has a day off. Some may be working at the grocery store or restaurant while others are serving the community through law enforcement and fire protection. Many others are overseas and on U.S. soil in the military preserving our freedom.

Thank goodness for their dedication — and yours, if you have slept in or are relaxing today on a well deserved day off.

Currently, America is facing a time of low unemployment. What this means for many is opportunity, which is what our great country was founded upon.

Those who enjoy their occupation, no matter how demanding, are fortunate. Because we all have those Monday mornings where we sometimes do not really want to get up and contribute to our society and community.

For many of us celebrating this national holiday, however, today is not one of those Mondays.
