A multi-vehicle accident made for a Monday afternoon headache for travelers headed south on Route 60. After the mishap, traffic stood still at more than one location near the Vineyard Drive intersection for 15 minutes as emergency crews did their job assisting those involved with medical attention as well as cleaning the site.

Route 60, from Vineyard Drive to Route 20, is not an easy place to travel as many are aware due to construction for the roundabout. On Monday, however, we found some drivers are making the drive worse by not showing patience.

In many cases, lanes are being reduced and — at some points — state workers are controlling the flow of traffic at Routes 60 and 20, not the traffic lights. For now, having patience is the only answer if you will be traveling near the construction.
