SUNDAY SHOUTOUT: Fredonia swimmer’s Spacc-tacular week
What a week for Fredonia swimmer Tori Spacc. On Wednesday at Maryvale during the sectional class meet preliminaries, the sophomore sensation took first place overall with a school record 1:08.14 in the 100-meter breaststroke competition.
Not only did that time qualify her for the state competition, it also broke a school record.
On Friday, she was even better, claiming the Section 6 Class B girls swimming class title in that same event. Her time: 1:07.95.
Overall, the Fredonia girls swim team finished the Friday event at the Erie Community College pool in fourth place, but it has been a super year overall for the team that won every team meet but one and includes a swimmer from Brocton and Forestville. That’s a good way to make some positive waves.
