As the city of Dunkirk experiences some rough spots with a new beginning with representation, there also are troubles in Fredonia: a lack of quorum. Somewhat unsurprisingly to some, the two Village Board Democrats — Kara Christina and James Lynden — who were fairly loyal to the previous mayor, did not attend Monday’s gathering.
Why? That is a good question as both were re-elected and expected to properly represent village residents.
It is a questionable and troublesome beginning. Our hope is that this is a minor misunderstanding.
Once is a mistake. Twice is a trend.
