#myfredonia: One day away from the reveal

Tuesday is Fredonia and northern Chautauqua County’s time to shine. Around 6:30 a.m. — or probably a little earlier — the Fredonia Opera House will open up to the community so it can find out if it is a top 5 finalist in the “Small Business Revolution” contest during a livestream reveal.

Our region has plenty to gain by moving forward — and possibly $500,000 in business revitalization funding if the community wins the top spot.

One great thing to see in the recent months is how the effort has rallied us together. “The ramp up of ‘Small Business Revolution’ in Fredonia has already made a big impact on our community,” wrote Todd Tranum, president and chief executive officer of the Chautauqua County Chamber of Commerce this weekend. “People have pulled together in a variety of ways to create a renewed sense of vitality and camaraderie. It has been inspiring to be part of the energy around this project.”

We will all find out in less than 24 hours if the magical run continues.
