WEATHER Winter’s wrath takes time off

Add Monday to the list of enjoyable winter days. The sun was shining. The skies were blue.

As of today, there are nine days left in what has been an underwhelming season. There were few days when the wind chill was less than zero and hardly any days where we received significant, heavy snowfall.

Yes, for Dunkirk-Fredonia, there was one day of school canceled due to the phantom blizzard, but other areas were impacted by the storm on Feb. 27.

Mother Nature never lets us off easy. Hopefully, we will not be paying for the lack of snow come later this month or April.
