It has been happening since the beginning of spring. School district officials, parents, area businesses and boosters have been doing their part to salute the Class of 2020.

No graduating class has ever gone through the bitter pill this one has. That being said, the compassion and generosity being shown to this special group must not go unnoticed.

In Dunkirk, senior portraits were placed near the football field last week. Many other districts have purchased signs to distribute at the homes of seniors.

It does not take away any pain, but it remains a wonderful gesture. We all know how the cruel the COVID-19 has been. Class of 2020, you will persevere. And, this community truly stands behind all of you.
