Showing respect through ceremony
Fredonia’s American Legion deserves plenty of credit. The organization, like many others, has faced a number of obstacles during the pandemic. Its doors have been closed. Activity has slowed.
But the post still puts on a proper tribute.
Recently, members held a flag-burning ceremony. It is the appropriate way to dispose of tattered American flags.
Community members who have unserviceable flags can be dropped off from 3 to 9 p.m. at the Main Street post. God bless this group for their service.
