Members of the Brocton American Legion Post deserve plenty of thanks. Last week, an officer from the Dunkirk Joint Veterans Council arrived at the organizations’s meeting and took time to recognize some outstanding individuals.

“We want to express to the Honor Guard our undying gratitude for all you’ve done for the veterans in Dunkirk and Fredonia,” Adjutant Jack Hood said. “Without you the whole organization would be folded up.”

These Honor Guard members assisted the group by honoring veterans who had recently passed away. All members received a customized medallion with their names on it.

It was a special moment of recognition on that evening. It is one this group deserves each time they are in our midst: Thank you for your service.
