DONATIONS Every day is worth giving locally

Many area non-profits took part in Giving Tuesday this week. It is a way to bring awareness to need within our community, whether it be Chautauqua County Rural Ministry, the Boys & Girls Club of Northern Chautauqua County and Literacy Volunteer to name a few.

These agencies, and many others, are funded through donations that come directly to them or through the United Way. Adam Dolce, executive director of the United Way of Northern Chautauqua County, spoke this week about why your donation here matters so much.

“People don’t always keep in mind that those donor dollars make an impact within the community,” he said. “Everything collected stays here in the local area. When you give to your local United Way, you’re giving to the local agencies and programs and partners we support.”

United Way still needs a boost from residents to help with its 2021 campaign, which has a goal of $250,000. If you would like to donate and touch the lives of many, visit https://unitedwayncc.org/
